Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport: how to get there, park and fly

Olbia. Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport serves Olbia, the Costa Smeralda and north-east Sardinia. Its airport codes are OLB (IATA) and LIEO (ICAO). It is also searched as Aga Khan Airport: the official airport name includes H.H. Prince Karim Aga Khan IV. Getting to Olbia and the railway station. The airport is about 4 km from Olbia city centre. ASPO urban buses 2 and 10 connect the terminal with the city centre and Olbia railway station from Monday to Sunday, from 6:20 am to 11:40 pm, with a frequency of about 20 to 30 minutes. The stop is at platform 3, around 50 metres from the arrivals area. Taxi, car hire and Costa Smeralda. The taxi rank is in front of arrivals and operates 24 hours a day. Car-rental offices are outside the terminal, about 50 metres from arrivals. Olbia Airport is the airport to use for Porto Cervo and the Costa Smeralda; seasonal intercity buses may serve Gallura destinations, but their days and times change. Parking at Olbia Airport. More than 1,100 spaces are in front of the terminal. Long-stay sectors A and B are about 50 metres from the entrance; short-stay sector C is about 20 metres away. The car park is open 24 hours a day, while the staffed parking office is open every day from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm. According to the official parking page, long-stay parking costs €3 for up to one hour, €20 for 24 hours and €70 for seven days; each following day costs €6. In short-stay sector C, the first 10 minutes are free, then the charge is €1 every 10 minutes up to one hour, €2 per hour from the second to the eleventh hour and €27 for 24 hours. Check-in and terminal opening. The terminal is open during flight operations and closes after the last scheduled arrival, so do not plan to wait inside overnight unless your flight schedule allows it. Geasar recommends reaching check-in at least one hour before a domestic flight and at least two hours before an international flight; the airline’s own deadline always applies. Lost or damaged checked baggage must be reported immediately on arrival: the Lost & Found desk is near baggage reclaim and the call centre is +39 0789 563456.
